Infection Control HTM 01-05 - 2 Hours Core Verifiable CPD
This training enables the whole dental team to understand the reasons for practising effective infection control procedures and how to implement them in conjunction with the HTM01-05 guidelines. It raises awareness of routine infection control within the dental environment and helps to provide strategies to control infection risks, whether the practice is working to ‘Essential Requirements’ or ‘Best Practice’. It encourages practices to progressively raise the quality of decontamination of their reusable instruments within their dental facility. It explains the principles of infection control, pathogen groups and water quality in practice.

Stef gained her NEBDN National nursing diploma in 2006 and was Head nurse and decontamination lead at a practice for the last 5 years of her nursing. She has worked for Henry Schein Dental for the last 3 years as the Exclusive product Specialist helping practices to fulfil their true potential and enabling them to provide a better experience for their patients. Decontamination has always been a passion of hers and she thrives on helping practices raise the quality of their Infection control and decontamination procedures.
Anne Harris
Anne has almost 10 years’ experience specifically in dental infection control and having been part of the industry before, during and after the publication of HTM 01-05, she understands the challenges that decontamination compliance brings to some practices. Her knowledge of this sector makes her ideally placed to provide expert training for all members of the team on how decontamination processes can be integrated with the minimum of fuss and become part of the everyday routines that safeguard staff and patients.
Jonty Bayliss
Having graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2012 Jonty joined Dentisan in the summer of 2014 and has since gained a deep understanding of infection prevention and HTM 01-05 compliance. Working with dental practices across the North of the UK, Jonty has helped many to amend their processes to take account of local guidelines. His thorough understanding of infection prevention and relevant regulations make his seminar presentation informative and engaging.
