Innovative Concepts in the Correction of Class II and Class III Malocclusions
Orthodontics is a facial, skeletal, and dental specialty. Moreover, none of these areas can be viewed independently of each other when it comes to orthodontic treatment. They are all interrelated. Orthodontists are responsible for the total facial harmony of the patient. During this course, Dr. Luis Carrière will demonstrate how to correct Class II or Class III malocclusions at the beginning of treatment, before bracketing and when patient compliance levels are at their highest, providing unique efficiencies and results with minimal extractions.
Dr. Carrière will also show how correcting Class II and Class III malocclusions, and then transitioning to a Passive Self-Ligating system, provides treatment efficiencies over traditional mechanics.
This new unique and innovative treatment approach ensures that the orthodontist addresses the total facial harmony of the patient.

Dr Luis Carriére
Dr. Carrière obtained his dental degree from the University of Complutense in Madrid (UCM), in 1991. He then attended the University of Barcelona (UB) where he completed his Orthodontic training and received his Master of Science in Orthodontics in 1994. In 2006, he received his Doctorate in Orthodontics, Cum Laude, from the University of Barcelona (UB).
In May 1995, Dr. Carrière became the proud recipient of the "Joseph E. Johnson Award" from the American Association of Orthodontists. He has also won the International Design Award Delta Gold ADI-FAD 2009 with the "Carriere® DistalizerTM MB".
Dr. Carrière is a Member of the Editorial Review Board for the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, as well as an invited professor at several Orthodontic departments throughout the world. Dr Carrière is the inventor of both the internationally known CarriereSelf-Ligating Bracket and the Carriere MotionTM Appliance. He is a world-renown lecturer on these products, in addition to many other topics.
Dr. Carrière also maintains his private practice in the Carrière Orthodontic Centre in Barcelona, Spain.
