Dr Mark Cronshaw trained at Guys Hospital in London. He graduated in 1981 with a degree in biomedical sciences before completing his dental studies in 1984. He is a private practitioner in Cowes , Isle of Wight where he maintains a busy general practice.Dr Cronshaw has used lasers in his daily clinical practice since 2005 and he has recently formalised his dental laser education by undertaking the Master of Science programme at Genoa University.

Following graduation in November of 2014 he has become the latest addition to the Faculty at the University of Genoa. He was awarded the Fellowship of the World Class Laser Institute in 2009 and he has been highly active in laser education as a trainer and lecturer Worldwide.In 2012 he was awarded the prestigious Fellowship award of the International Academy of DentoFacial Esthetics and he is an alumnus of the Student Clinician of the American Dental Association.

Dr Cronshaw has written many articles on the clinical applications of lasers in dentistry and he is actively involved in continued research. Most recently he co- authored a paper presented at the World Federation of Laser Dentistry in Paris on a retrospective study on peri-implantitis management. A full version of this highly innovative paper has been recently published in the British Dental Journal. His clinical interests are in aesthetic dentistry, holistic dental care, minimally invasive dentistry as well as the application of laser therapy as an adjunct to tissue regeneration in periodontics and surgery
